On World Cancer Day, former EFFECT trial participant Ineke shared a moving story about how exercise transformed her life. Her testimony at the European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA) cancer projects showcase event was a powerful reminder of why we do this research.

The EFFECT trial, the foundation for the ongoing LION-RCT, demonstrated the beneficial effect of exercise interventions on fatigue and quality of life. But hearing it from a patient makes the difference—turning ‘research data’ into the actual lived experience.
